Summary of pay equity/comparable worth activities by state governments

Almost half the States have studies or are studying their civil service systems for discriminatory pay practices particularly in female-dominated classifications. These studies and their results may have implications for the Federal Government as there are similarities between the civil service systems of the state and the Federal Government.
