Handsome document with heraldic illumination at center, measuring 4 x 3 1/4 inches, showing heart pierced by tree on shield, surmounted by helmet crowned by blackamoor grasping arrow and another pierced heart, surrounded by gilt ornamented frame. Text begins "Wir Otthainrich von Gottes genaden Pffalzgrave ben Rhein des Heilegen Romischen Reichs..." etc., with elaborate calligraphic initial W. A few spots, moderate wear along folds, some darkening to illumination, otherwise nicely preserved, with Otthainrich's wax seal."
