Letter executing the nobility and waiver lawsuit between Alfonso de Torres against the residents of Villar de Domingo García in Cuenca, given in the reign of Henry IV. Handwritten in parchment in Gothic letter of forty-four lines containing the executory letter on nobility and exemption of taxes (tributes) filed between Alfonso de Torres against the residents of Villar de Domingo García in Cuenca in the year 1460. The petitioner alleges the nobility of grandparents and parents who fought in different campaigns with the kings of Castile, while the residents claim their contribution to a royal request. Both parties are recognized for their rights and obligations in a sentence endorsed by King Henry IV.nnThe executions of nobility of this period are very rare and there are very few preserved from the reign of D. Enrique. It does not retain the pending lead seal although it does part of the wires. Rarity, of the oldest in Spain.,Pergamino. . Juan de Maqueda Balderrama (or Valderrama), from Seville, was born around 1550 and became an officer of the Inquisition in 1579; this is his grant of nobility. On the first leaf a large figurative initial (Mary and Christ child) partly heightened in gold, another half-page coat of arms heightened in gold, framed by a decorative border with flowers and fruits. A further floral border around the second leaf and thirteen large initial capitals, all highly decorated in colours and gold.,The Folio is a contemporary blind-tooled calf with roll-tooled borders. The ties are missing.
