Information about this leaf: This is an etching of a tomb along the ancient Appian Way in the Buonamici Vineyard. The heading indicates that this leaf was taken from volume three of the work and the image is number twenty. The paper is handmade. The copperplate etching is the work of Piranesi, the most famous architectural etcher ever.
